Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of vitalqi.yueji.ai (the "Site") and any VitalQi report you purchase through it. By using the Site or placing an order you agree to these Terms. Please also read our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Health Disclaimer.
1. What VitalQi is — and is not
VitalQi generates personalized wellness and lifestyle reports inspired by traditional East Asian frameworks (BaZi 八字, five-phase theory, seasonal climatology, and related classical sources). Reports are provided for reflection, entertainment, and lifestyle insight only. They are not medical advice, diagnosis, prognosis, or treatment, and they are not a substitute for care from a licensed physician or other qualified health professional. See the Health Disclaimer, which is incorporated into these Terms.
2. Your report and its limits
- Your reading depends entirely on the birth data and questionnaire answers you provide. Mistaken inputs produce mistaken readings; we cannot verify their accuracy.
- If you do not know your exact birth time, we estimate the hour pillar and mark the conclusions it affects — the report explains this wherever it applies.
- Classical quotations are reproduced in good faith from public-domain texts; minor variants exist between editions.
3. Orders, pricing, and delivery
- Reports are one-time digital purchases ($19 Foundations or $39 Three-Layer, plus any applicable tax). There is no subscription and no recurring charge.
- Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store card details.
- Delivery is immediate: your report is generated in your browser the moment payment is confirmed. Keep your report link; you can also download the report file from the report page.
- Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy (7 days, no interrogation).
4. License to use the report
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to view, download, and print your report for your own use. You may share short excerpts with attribution. You may not resell, redistribute, republish, or use reports or the Site to build a competing product or dataset.
5. Intellectual property
The Site's text, design, engine, report structure, and translations are © VitalQi. Classical Chinese source texts quoted in reports are in the public domain; our translations and commentary are not.
6. Acceptable use
Do not: scrape or mirror the Site; attempt to bypass payment; submit automated or fraudulent orders; probe or disrupt our infrastructure; or use the Site to harass, defame, or provide readings to minors.
7. Availability and changes
We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee it. We may update report content, pricing for future orders, or these Terms; the version in force is the one published when you placed your order, except for changes required by law.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Site and reports are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, VitalQi's total liability arising from your use of the Site or a report is limited to the amount you paid for that report. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing here excuses you from seeking professional medical care.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you stronger rights, those rights remain unaffected.
